Hey, I have a question. How responsible is the average consumer for wearing "tribal" (i hate that word tbh) clothing when it's the fashion designers and department stores that really decide what is and is not fashionable? like right now high-waisted shorts and etc? the average person really doesn't decide what's in style, they just follow what's in the magazines. Just wondering!

The more the consumer base objects to a certain style, generally the faster it will go away. If a designer can’t make money off of it, they’ll generally do something else relatively more quickly than if they sold a lot of items.

That being said, a lot of things I’ve seen from designers that are ~Tribal~ in nature are just tacky and I’d have steered clear of them regardless if they were associated with said trend or not.
